January 23-25 - PRAYER and FASTING

Dear brothers and sisters!

Our Lord Jesus Christ said, “I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” (Matf.16:18). Whatever would happen around and in the Church, the Church will always come out victorious.

Let us remember the 2000-year history of the Church, let us remember the history of the Church during the long reign of Soviet power! Empires come and empires go, very few now remember the former persecutors but the Church continues to march majestically on the earth, doing the will of God.

“The gates of hell shall not prevail” but it does not mean that they will not try to. There will always be an attack on the Church, but the Church will stand strong!

There are many variations of how the Church is attacked or persecuted. Sometimes the pressure comes from the outside, and sometimes – from the inside. Therefore, it is important for us as a Church to always hold on to God and to what He has commanded us.

Jesus said, “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation” (Mark 14:38). It is important that we always remain Christians, at any time and all our needs, all experiences bring to God in prayer.

There is power in prayer and fasting. And so it is necessary and important for us, especially now to protect the unity of the church, protect peace in our hearts and minds, so that regardless of the circumstances, Christians would be moved by faith and love of God.

In these days of the World Week of Prayer for Christian Unity let’s join our hearts and voices to millions of believers around the world, and ask God for help and mercy!

Jesus said: “Ask and you shall receive” (In.16:24).

I urge all of you, dear friends, let us pray!

God promised to answer the prayers of humble, and He will!

I believe that we are on the verge of good quality changes!

Fasting and prayer will be held from January 23 to 25.

You can gather for prayer in your location. In Donetsk the prayer will be held at: Tkachenko str, 100, from 10.00 to 20.00.

Welcome!

May God bless you!

Your brother and pastor in Christ,

Leonid Padun.
